5th International Arts Therapies Students Encounter

This years 4ArTS Encounter took place in Edinburgh, Scotland 16th- 19th September 2010 and was organized by Alexia Gaitanou and Laura Cave. Around 70 enthusiastic young undergraduate and postgraduate students from Belgium, England, Estonia, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, and Switzerland gathered to attended the 4 days conference at the Gillis Center in Edinburgh. They had the chance to exchange their experience, share, learn and be inspired by student lead workshops and presentations and lectures run by professionals from the fields of Art Therapy, Drama Therapy, Dance Movement Therapy and Music Therapy. Also young professionals were invited to give lectures and talk about their workexperience to close the gap between being a student and turning a young professional.

Once again this conference has proved to be an important and lively contribution to a growing international Arts Therapies culture. Together we stand strong and the 4ArTS spirit lives on: The planing of the next years encounter 2011 is already in process, it will take place in Belgium!
